Spent 90 odd minutes in the Purfleet Hide at Rainham Marshes this morning. Very productive a fly by Kingfisher was a year tick as was a Spotted Redshank over the back of Purfleet Scrape and at least three Water Pipits and eventually the Jack Snipe were seen. Also had a Corn Bunting along the seawall early on.

Jack Snipe - it came in to the open briefly and literally ran across the exposed gap to the next small batch of vegetation and disappeared! |
