Mayesbrook Park, Dagenham

Large Rectangle
Spent a couple of hours walking Coco around the park yesterday, it was quite pleasant in the sunshine and once again I had brief views of the Water Rail in the exact same location. Also, added Goldcrest for the year at Mayesbrook, bringing my grand total of different species seen this year to 48!!

Black-headed Gull

Egyptian Goose there are currently six of these around the park

The park is a popular place to come and feed the birds and while some of the food given is not ideal, it is often young children's first close encounter with wildlife and can leave a positive lasting impression!

another Black-headed Gull

One of the large trees on one of the boating lake islands has succumbed to the recent winds!

Great Crested Grebe now starting to look great in his or hers breeding plumage, currently there is only one so fingers crossed that a mate arrives!
